As a young adult today, I believed I've received my supply of "Sorry Charlie" letters from graduate assistant positions, full-time employment after college, and scholarships. You know the letter you receive in the mail that says they hired or gave the scholarship to someone else. You never read them. You just have to send them to have closure.
Well, today I would like to note that this is my very first experience in writing a letter to someone else. WOW! What a crazy thing? Now, I'm the one sending out letters to tell someone that we offered the scholarship to someone else. BTW- I administer a Leadership Scholarship in my position at the college. Those are the fun students who do orientation for me. :)
They'll go out in the mail tomorrow. Not cool.
